Relaxation Massage
The most common form of Massage Therapy is a deep relaxing session that combines the five basic strokes of massage to stimulate circulation, increase oxygen flow to the blood, improves muscle tone, and flush muscle tissue of lactic acid and other toxins. Overall this session provides an opportuinty to let go, restore, replenish, and receive improved movement and a general sense of wellness through natural breathing.
Deep Tissue Massage
This form of Massage Therapy is focus oriented and works to minimize and remove adhesions (areas of tight, painful tissue) found within tendons, ligaments, & muscles. With slower, more concentrated movement and pressure, deep tissue massage targets and realigns the deep layers of muscle benefiting those with areas of chronic muscle tension and/or injury.
MyoFascial Release
Myofascial Release is a therapy technique that releases tension and tightness in the injured areas of fascia, a thin layer of tissue that covers every muscle and muscle fiber within the body. The therapist slowly stretches the fascia in concentrated areas in effort to liberate areas of holding patterns in the body due to injury, trauma, or stress (both physical and emotional). A MFR session is very slow, gentle, and highly effective for clients seeking to eliminate persistent and problematic areas of pain.
Sports Massage
Geared towards the athlete, this type of massage can be used in 3 different methods: Pre-Event - to stimulate muscles, rid fatigue, enhance range of motion, lessen chance of injury during activity, and improve overall performance. Post-Event - alleviates muscle tension that builds quickly during physical activity, helps reduce injury and support opimimal recovery after an event, normalizes tissue and reduce muscle spasms comon after intense exertion. Injury Recovery - rehabilitates areas of repetitive sensitivity or chronic injury, increases muscle formation and vitality, enhances flexibility and range of motion.
Hot Stone & Massage
Hot Stone Massage also referred to as LaStone Therapy, is a full body massage that uses smooth stones of volcanic rock called Basalt; the stones are heated to melt the muscled into deep relaxation and provide profound calm to the nervous system. The therapist massages the body using the warmed stones and also places stones on known energy centers within the body in effort to acheive deep homeostasis. The warmth generated from the stones aids in reducing inflammation, and balances energy. This session drawls on a deep Earth connection and leaves the client feeling grounded as well as relaxed and provides an excellent alternative to other modalities of Massage Therapy.
Massage & Foot Scrub
A session that starts off with a sugar foot scrub to exfoliate the feet, followed by a full body massage to complete the session.
Massage, Hot Stone, & Foot Scrub
Combination session of Massage, Hot Stone, & a Sugar Foot Scrub
Mindfulness Massage
A combination of light touch therapy, reflexology/foot massage, energy body work, scalp massage, & Native American prayer. Session is very relaxing & would be of great benefit of anyone dealing with Cancer, chronic stress, or looking for balance.
On-Site Chair Massage
On-Site Chair Massage is performed in an upright massage chair; within the work place, at parties (i.e. wedding parties, retirement, holiday, etc.) or corporate events. Sessions last from 10-20 minutes on average, the client remains fully clothed (with the exception of any obstructive jackets or jewelry). a chair massage focuses specifically on the clients head, neck, and shoulders, though can include hand and arm work to customize the sesson on a individual basis. Using Relaxation Massage and Trigger Point Therapy as well as other modalities: Chair Massage is shown to heighten mental awareness, alleviate stress, relieve muscle tension, strengthen the immune system and boost energy levels. This is an overlooked, less expensive way to utilize the benefits of massage therapy, introduce friends, family, and co-workers to massage and reward employees for reaching goals throughout the year.
